Wealthsimple: The End of Banking?
For Wealthsimple's first live company update, we created an abstract opening film to launch the new branding position.




About the project
Wallpapers designed to celebrate the philosophy of the device and Nothing's brand values.
We partnered with Wealthsimple to create the opening animation for their first-ever live company update, The End of Banking?. The two-minute film was designed to set the tone for the event, capturing the audience’s imagination before the CEO took the stage.
What we did
We developed a visual narrative that explored the future of finance through abstraction. Using a minimalist palette, fluid gradients, and soft motion, the animation evoked themes of transformation, clarity, and possibility. Paired with music and voice-over, it became an uplifting and inspirational moment that opened the show.
Broadcast live to over 20,000 viewers on YouTube, the piece introduced the event with a sense of calm energy and set the stage for a conversation about where banking goes next.
Creative approach
The project was built through a process of creative experimentation, blending generative design techniques with motion graphics. Our aim was to find a visual language that felt modern, thoughtful, and human, reflecting Wealthsimple’s vision for a simpler, more inclusive financial future.
